The Ukrainian Defence Intelligence confirmed that drones from the Ghosts unit destroyed two An-26 military transport aircraft in an attack in Crimea, a region occupied by Russia.

The aircraft were parked at the Kacha military airfield and exploded in flames after being hit, suggesting they were fueled and operational.

In addition to the aircraft, Ukrainian drones also hit Russian radars, including a surface situation station and the MR-10M1 Mys M1 coastal system. These actions, recorded in the official report from the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff, highlight the unit’s ability to inflict significant losses on Russian forces on the peninsula.

This was not the first offensive by the Ghosts unit in the region. Previously, the military had already destroyed two amphibious Be-12 aircraft and a Mi-8 helicopter. The attacks are carried out using drones equipped with satellite communication, a technology that ensures precision and selectivity in targeting strategic objectives.
